Four years ago I made a shoe rack for my brother. I said I would also build one for us, I guess it just took some time to get started.
A couple of elm trees had to come down due to Dutch Elm Disease a few years ago, and it was time for another project using wood from those logs. This time I used a few slabs with a bunch of defects in them, so I had to be quite creative initially on how to find all the pieces for this project.
This was a fairly straight forward build, and mostly a power tools only project this time. Using the Festool Domino for the joinery, but I did use tenons that I made myself. There is an entire separate video and post about making those:

I enjoyed this build, and was a nice change of pace compared to the previous ones. Start to finish, including making the video, in less than a week. The finished product turned out great too!
