In order to cut the tapered legs for a table I am currently building I need some sort of tapering jig for the table saw. In this video I attempt to figure out how to build one of these jigs on my own, going in without much of a plan.
The end result is a very adjustable jig that holds pretty much any shape and size table leg to cut tapers.
If I need to taper something wider in the future I can also use the "left side" that is currently blank and cut some slots to attach the fence with.
This is a pretty crude jig so there is plenty of room for improvement, having me consider building a "better" one in the future, in that case I might also make some plans available. For now, if you want to build something like this, you should be able to figure it out by watching the video!
